This 3” tall and 1.75” wide dryad pendant is available in both bronze and sterling silver and come with a gold or silver-tone steel chain. The silver version can also be purchased with a sterling silver rope chain.
Symbolism of the Tree Goddess
In Greek mythology, dryads were tree nymphs, or spirits that typically lived in close association with oak trees. Like all nymphs, dryads are supernaturally long-lived; however, if their tree died, they would as well. For that reason, dryads and the Greek gods punished any mortals who harmed trees without first propitiating the tree-nymphs.
