In the Society of Creative Anachronism, a pelican piercing its breast is the symbol used to denote those who are companions of the Order of the Pelican. Membership in the Order is awarded to those who perform unrelenting service to their Kingdom and the SCA, along with their consistent display of the virtues of grace, cthetesy and chivalry.
Design Details
The SCA Pelican Fibula is 2.5” tall and is available in both bronze and sterling silver. The bronze version comes set with a red carnelian, and the silver version is set with a red almandine garnet.
