Design Details
The Chieftain's Torc is constructed with an extra-heavy braid of wire, and is approximately 5/8 inch (16 mm) thick. It is available in bronze or sterling silver.
Historical Inspiration
The inspiration for this Chieftain torc came from the story of the warrior Queen of the Icenia tribe, Boudicca. A patriotic Celtic Briton and heroine, Boudicca was known for standing her ground against foreign invasion time and time again. She was described as having flaming red hair and to have worn thick necklaces of gold. The Celtic torc was designed as if it were one of Boudicca's golden necklaces.
