Polished Bronze Mirrors

Mirrors have existed since the Stone Age, made from polished obsidian and other stone. The first metal mirrors were made by the Mesopotamians and Egyptians, first out of copper, and later out of bronze. These early mirrors were typically plain objects, and it was not until the Etruscans, and then the Celts, that the mirror was elevated to a distinctive art form.
