The Celts were supreme horsemen. The horse was a significant symbol for them, and may have represented kingship. The horse was also associated with Epona, the Celtic goddess of fruitfulness. This horse head torc is constructed with a heavy braid of wire, and is approximately 3/8 inch (10 mm) thick. Available in bronze or sterling silver. |
